General Information:

The Hitachi Energy location in Jefferson City MO is a premier designer and manufacturer of distribution transformers for the electric grid commercial data centers industrial facilities wind & solar alternative energy sources. As a quality engineering intern in our manufacturing operation you will mainly be assigned to continuous improvement projects to improve product quality productivity and cost improvements for our transformer manufacturing.

Your Responsibilities:

Participating and supporting kaizen events & other improvement projects.
Projects that will impact & reduce cost savings scrap rework and first past yield performance.
Support the Continuous Improvement teams utilizing tools from the 4Q Quality process.
Process stability and capability projects to enhance Standardized Work process flow and built in quality.
Work area layout improvements and one-piece flow improvements.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
High attention to detail and c ommitment to accuracy.

Your Background:

Rising Junior/Senior in Engineering field
Currently enrolled in a bachelors degree program.
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
Currently enrolled in an accredited university program in the US.
Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States.
