What We Offer:
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $61688-$102556 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 5%of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of addition after being employed for six months eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.

This position will join the Arkansas Oklahoma Team within the Southern Timberlands Business and reports to the Inventory Manager. This is an execution-focused role with a preferred location to be in the Sheridan AR Region office; however consideration will be given to the Crossett AR office for internal candidates. Some overnight travel may be required for off-site meetings and field data verification (less than 10%).
Background: This role works within the NLAR Planning and Inventory Team which is responsible for harvest planning forest inventory forest data management and GIS and mapping. The successful candidate will be a key member of this team and assist in managing the forest inventory program oversee the data quality in the Forest Management System (FMS) and provide mapping services to the NLAR Region. The ideal candidate will be familiar with forest measurement techniques harvesting and silvicultural (Early and Mid-rotation) practices knowledge and understanding of cruising/sampling GIS (Tree Arc GISPro Map and Web GIS preferred)GPS and mobile technologies management of contractors.
Key Functions:
Function as an interface with the operational foresters for inventory completeness and accuracy
Ensure the overall quality and integrity of forest inventory data in the Forest Management System (FMS)
Train and mentor foresters in the use of FMS
Update FMS inventory for acquisitions divestitures and post-harvest activities
Ensure the quality and integrity of spatial accuracy in FMS
FMS spatial alignment maintenance and improvement
Quality assurance/quality checks for spatial accuracy and other data control issues
Provide spatial (GIS) and tabular data services for operations
Maintain cruise activities to reflect current data conditions
Sampling design and field data collection for inventory verification
Assist in annual harvest planning preparation and processes
