Essential Responsibilities
Completes shipments by processing and loading orders per production schedules or shipping order to determine items to be moved gathered or distributed.
Unloads receives and puts away incoming goods and materials checks for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
Enters data into a computerized inventory management system to maintain up-to-date stock records.
Accurately sorts labels moves and stores items; places material or items on racks shelves or in bins according to part number; arranges storage to optimize space.
Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
Prepares picks packs and dispatches outgoing goods and merchandise according to written or verbal requests or work orders; uses pick sheets in various formats (paper or electronic) to locate items within inventory; verifies product and quantity accuracy.
Loads trucks for customer delivery; may install strapping bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
Assists with the creation of a highly collaborative material control culture within the organization.
Assists in cycle counts and inventory level management to ensure on-time deliveries while maximizing turns and minimizing carrying costs
Manage inventory databases.
Ensure accuracy of orders and shipping documents.
Receive orders and add to inventory.
Responsible for verifying materials received were ordered; match to purchase order or verifywith Procurement; while also verifying quantity delivered inspect materials received for damagemark inventory items with the appropriate stock number and location and notify plant personnelthat materials ordered have been received.
Resolves receipt issues with material suppliers over damaged goods shipment incorrectmaterials and delivery of materials to the incorrect staging location; and collaborates with suppliers to arrange for pick-up items that were shipped incorrectly damaged or were not ordered.
Ensures inventory items are placed in the appropriate locations the day they are received; newinventory items are assigned a location when received.
Prepares shipping memos for all material equipment scrap etc. sent off site; includes materialsreturned to suppliers scrap sales equipment sent out for repair disposal of regulated andnon-hazardous wastes and materials sent out for fabrication.
Works with Procurement personnel to purchase materials when needed and with suppliers whenassigned to expedite materials.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
3-5 years experience in procurement and/or inventory management or logistics.
Ability and willingness to work off shift as required.
Ability to assume additional responsibilities as required.
Operate basic powered equipment (pallet jack forklift)
Must be available to work Monday-Friday 7am-330pm
Desired Characteristics
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
MRO product knowledge preferred.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Basic computer knowledge and proficiency and/or a demonstrated technical aptitude to learn; preferred technical skills to include but not limited to MS-Office products.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules work orders operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Demonstration of basic mathematical skills (add subtract multiply and divide in all units to measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals)
Ability to compile routine reports and write correspondence.
Ability to work in a team environment and be initiative-taking to accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
