As a Technology Engineer within PNCs Corporate & Institutional Banking - Treasury organization you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA Strongsville-OH Dallas-TX or Birmingham-AL.
Job Responsibilities
-Lead the design and architecture of distributed systems ensuring scalability reliability and high availability.
-Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java Spring Boot and Microservices.
-Design and implement containerized applications leveraging Docker Kubernetes or similar technologies.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements API specifications and integration strategies.
-Optimize application performance ensuring low latency and high throughput in production workloads.
-Establish and enforce engineering best practices including code quality testing CI/CD and observability.
-Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
-Participate in system design reviews code reviews and technical discussions.
Skills
-10 years of proven experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems.
-Strong proficiency in Java (8) and Spring Boot Framework.
-Extensive experience in Microservices architecture design and implementation.
-Hands-on experience with Contains (Docker Kubernetes).
-Proven understanding of scalable system design fault tolerance and concurrency.
-Proven experience with RESTful APIs messaging systems like Kafka/RabbitMQ and databases like SQL/NoSQL.
-Proven understanding of DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP.
-Strong problem-solving communication and leadership skills.
-Preferred: Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming.
-Preferred: Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus Grafana ELK OpenTelemetry).
-Preferred: Prior experience in high-traffic production systems
-Preferred: Contributions to open-source projects or published work on distributed systems.

Job Description
- Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design build and maintain technology solutions. Assists with selecting appropriate platforms integrates and configures solutions.
- Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.
- May provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff.
- Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.
- Ensures quality of project deliverables while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and processes.

Pay Transparency
Base Salary: $55000.00 $172250.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location market data and on individual skills experience and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company business and/or individual performance.
