Job Description
Sales Support Assistant

REPORTING TO
Sales Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage customer purchase orders and releases.
- Maintain constant contact with purchasing/manufacturing to ensure requirements for customer schedules are met.
- Input customer purchase orders and maintain quote log.
- Verify customer orders reflect the correct price and timing as was quoted.
- Work with outside sourcing to secure completion and ship dates.
- Track shop orders in response to customer inquiries regarding their orders.
- Maintain complete and accurate customer quotes in Visual system.
- Other duties as necessary
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Solid interpersonal skills
- Time management/deadline-oriented
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficient computer skills including the ability to use Excel and other Microsoft Office business products.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma / GED
- Experience working with an MRP/ERP environment preferred
- Hands-on experience with inventory control preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Standing: The ability to remain on ones feet in an upright position without moving about.
- Sitting: Remaining in seated position for extended periods of time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot.
- Lifting: Raising or lowering of an object from one lever to another.
- Carrying: Transporting an object by holding it in hands or arms.
- Pushing or Pulling: Exerting force upon an object to move it away or toward the origin of force.
