Type: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full Time Day Shift

Compensation: $110000 - $120000 Annually dependent on experience

Tessera is seeking a passionate and driven Pavement Equipment Supervisor to join our dynamic team and make a lasting impact. This is an incredible opportunity to lead essential road airfield and pavement maintenance operations while championing safety quality and team engagement. Youll supervise daily activities manage heavy equipment oversee snow and ice removal and ensure compliance with contract and safety standardsall while embodying Tesseras core values.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Core Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of AbilityOne and SourceAmerica programs.
  • Uphold and embody Tesseras core values.
  • Align team goals with Tesseras value proposition ensuring highly engaged employees contribute to customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards on job sites through effective risk controls and utilize Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).
  • Conduct root cause analyses to promote a safe working environment and maintain adherence to Tesseras Accident Reporting process.
  • Foster positive client interactions using effective interpersonal skills demonstrating respect empathy and responsiveness.

Essential Duites:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of personnel and heavy equipment for pavement road and airfield maintenance.
  • Plan and manage construction grading drainage and surfacing projects across roads curbs and airfields.
  • Lead snow and ice removal efforts using plows spreaders and de-icing materials to maintain safe conditions.
  • Inspect pavement surfaces and direct repairs including crack sealing patching and overlays.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation maintenance and inventory control of heavy equipment and tools.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards contract requirements and produce accurate documentation and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Technical training or certification in construction equipment operations civil engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in pavement maintenance heavy equipment operations or construction supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt and concrete repair techniques soil stabilization and grading procedures.
  • Familiarity with interpreting construction drawings subgrade contours and grade alignment.
  • Experience managing snow removal operations and applying ice control products.
  • Ability to lead teams manage schedules and ensure quality control across multiple job sites.

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • May be required to reach kneel walk stand and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Work may require repetitive motion reaching lifting kneeling and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time climbing in and out of a vehicle and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
