Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

- Knowledge of local streets

- New Hampshire School Bus Certificate
- DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
- DOE Criminal History Records Check Clearance Certificate
- Previous dispatch experience preferred

Specific Core Function:
- This position is responsible for daily school bus operations interacting with Operations and Maintenance Staff and providing customer support services.
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Open and close dispatch office
- Ensure all routes are staffed for the day; assign substitute drivers as needed; plan schedules and assign drivers for additional work including field trips athletic events etc in accordance with District policies and current CBA language.
- Ensure driver fitness for duty
- Coordination of vehicle maintenance and availability; communicate issues to and from drivers as needed
- Maintenance and distribution of daily crew sheets additional work assignments and other reporting
- Tracking of daily attendance time off requests (including approvals and denials) and perfect attendance for drivers
- Communicating with drivers school district personnel and parents in a timely and professional manner; communication via two-way radio telephone email and in person
- Ability to use considerable judgment diplomacy discretion and the ability to communicate clearly
- Must exercise extreme care in maintaining confidentiality and privacy
- Document and submit reports; including all documentation for complaints accidents routing changes etc.
- Be on-call in rotation for emergencies and after hours needs as scheduled; drive a bus as needed.
Specified Length/Hours:
This is a non affiliated position 228 day schedule 52 weeks and 40 hours per week.
