Description

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for setup and breakdown of audio visual equipment staging risers chairs tables bleachers house drapes carpeting portable flooring etc.
  • Stores equipment in pre-designated areas.
  • Performs minor maintenance on equipment used for the setup and breakdown of events.
  • Operates forklifts scissor lifts and company vehicles related to operations and follows all safety guidelines pertaining to the position.
  • Assists Department Leader with scheduling and leading production attendants and brings any issues or concerns to managements attention.
  • Presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 years experience with event set-up or comparable experience preferred.
  • High school diploma GED or comparable experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • It is expected that incumbents in the Lead Production Attendant will be ready to promote and perform the functions of a Production Supervisor within 12-18 months if available.
  • Past experience with the use of rigging equipment and the ability to set-up and connect audio and lighting systems for large productions is preferred.
  • Must have basic knowledge of Audio Visual equipment for operation and set-up.
  • Must have working knowledge of hand and basic power tools forklift Zamboni etc.
  • Must have the ability to follow diagrams and BEOs and lead multiple simultaneous crews for event set-ups and conversions.
  • Must have the ability to operate equipment in an effective safe and proper manner.
  • Good oral and written communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Strong technical ability with a personal computer and appropriate software (Excel Word Power Point Microsoft Outlook AutoCAD).
  • Must be able to maintain a neat well-groomed professional appearance and uphold the company appearance standards.
  • Adheres to departmental and company policies and maintains compliance with all regulatory governmental and safety requirements.
  • Maintains positive communication with co-workers on all levels and works as a team.
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push pull reach bend twist stoop and stack. Must be able to consistently walk on level surfaces as well as up and down stairs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work in areas containing dust varying noise and temperature levels lighting vibration crowds and air quality.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Must be flexible with schedule including nights weekends and holidays as required. Will be subject to call 24 hours in case of emergency or facility need.
