Job Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Reno NV
Employment Type: Full-Time On-Site
Job Description:
- Develop implement and maintain the company s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements.
- Lead coach and manage quality assurance and control staff.
- Oversee in-process inspections product verification corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) and nonconformance management.
- Maintain quality documentation inspection plans and records.
- Manage internal/external audits including ISO audits customer audits and supplier quality assessments.
- Track and report on quality metrics such as scrap rates customer returns and first-pass yield; conduct root cause investigations and drive improvements.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and support new product introduction (NPI).
- Ensure compliance with material specifications drawings and process parameters specific to composites and radome products.
- Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) processes and oversee the disposition of nonconforming materials.
- Support regulatory safety and environmental compliance as it relates to quality.
- Promote a culture of accountability ownership and proactive quality practices throughout the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Materials Science Manufacturing or related technical field.
- 5 7 years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 systems document control auditing and management reviews.
- Proven experience leading quality teams and driving continuous improvement.
- Skilled in using quality tools such as FMEA RCA 5-Why Pareto SPC and Control Plans.
- Excellent leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
