**Position Overview:**
This is a remote position with travel requirements of up to 15% contingent upon client and business needs. Candidates should be located within the United States.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Review and oversee client attest engagements including the planning execution and final review of financial statements.
- Conduct annual Internal Inspections to ensure compliance and quality.
- Maintain current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the presentation of financial statements.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) along with prevalent audit methodologies and procedures.
- Participate in and support various training initiatives throughout the year.
- Supervise train and mentor associates and interns in the attest process to ensure effectiveness and skill development.- Research and analyze financial statements addressing relevant attest issues as they arise.
- Cultivate a network of potential referral sources and identify opportunities for service expansion.
- Execute other job-related duties as required to maintain operational efficiency.
**Qualifications:** -
**Education:** A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a closely related field is required; a Masters Degree is highly preferred.-
**Certification:** A CPA License is mandatory.-
**Experience:** A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in public accounting with a significant focus on financial statement audits and Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS) engagements.
- **Technical Knowledge:** A solid understanding of GAAP GAAS SSARS Statements on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).-
**Communication Skills:** Exceptional oral and written communication capabilities are essential.-
**Time Management:
** Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage time-sensitive engagements.-
**Regulatory Knowledge:** Familiarity with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) auditing standards is considered an asset.
