Java Developer Hybrid (Metro Atlanta GA)
Location: Atlanta GA 30345
Work Arrangement: Hybrid; one onsite day per week (additional onsite days during large projects)
Type: Contract Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Duration: September 29 2025 June 30 2026

Job Overview
Seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to develop and support Java-based applications within the Local Government Services division. The developer will engage in requirements analysis software development debugging testing and building deployment specifications actively contributing to modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Design code test install and debug Java software applications and related systems

Analyze system problems individually or collaboratively to devise solutions

Translate business requirements into secure maintainable development tasks

Research and learn new technologies in line with DORs modernization initiatives
Essential Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field

Minimum 2 years experience with Java JavaScript J2SE J2EE Struts and Spring frameworks

Minimum 2 years experience with web technologies including Tomcat XML XLS Stylesheet Web Services Oracle databases and SSL Certificates

Experience with development tools like Eclipse BIRT Reports TOAD SQL Developer Azure DevOps and Git

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
