Job Description
Job Title: DevOps and Automation Engineer with Strong Python
Work Location: Seattle WA 98109 (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term
Must Have:
- DevOps
- CI/CD pipelines
- Automation
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
- systems engineering
- Python for automation
- AWS
- Splunk
- ELK stack
- Grafana
- Prometheus
Key responsibilities:
- DevOps/SRE Experience: Proven experience in DevOps Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) systems engineering or build/release/deployment automation.
- Python Proficiency: Strong scripting skills in Python for automation tool development and potentially object-oriented development.
- Automation Focus: Building and managing tools to enable fast-paced software releases in various environments (on-premise private and public cloud).
- CI/CD & SRE Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins configuration management systems (e.g. Salt Ansible) and potentially Gerrit for code review.
- Cloud Platforms: Operational experience with cloud platforms like AWS or similar.
- Collaboration: Partnering with global software development and infrastructure teams.
- Monitoring & Observability: Experience with tools for log aggregation (e.g. Splunk ELK stack) and monitoring (e.g. Grafana Prometheus).
