Job Description
Wireless Lab Test Engineer
Location: Philadelphia PA onsite
Duration: Long term
The Client need Candidate with the 7 years with device testing in the lab on both the device side and wifi architecture. Candidates need to know both mobile and wifi arch and have the experience testing in that space not just app testing.
- Device testing log collection triaging Lab management test Reports creation KPI evaluation.
- Support the XM performance team for measuring the wireless network performance including 4G 5G and Wi Fi network Mobile.
- Develop and maintain testing strategy test plans and test cases for measuring the overall customer experience.
- Collect logs and perform triaging of defects from device testing.
- Perform a walk test in the field to simulate some customer experience use cases.
- Prepare the test report and presentation to show the test finding.
- Coordinate debugging sessions between OEMs and engineering teams to investigate issues for resolution.
- Support other device technology initiatives & new feature rollout within client including Data offload over WiFi Data offload over CBRS network via DSDS mmWave 5G SA etc.
- Ability to work adhere to all NDAs and work on confidential projects at Client. Able to drive technical conversations with OEM partners with regards to device defects and debugging as needed.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams deliver activities and tasks necessary for successful launch and achievement of business objectives.
Skills Required:
- 7 years of device testing & certification experience in lab or in the field.
- Good understanding of wireless technologies including VoLTE VoWiFi 4G 5G (SA and NSA) network architecture and protocols.
- 2 year of experience in triaging device defects on Android or iOS devices.
- 2 year of experience in device logging tools like QXDM XCAP XCAL etc.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- 2 year of experience in Keysight UXM and other network simulator boxes.
- Good interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.
- Strong motivator and communicator both verbally and through written instruction
- BS/BE degree in related discipline strongly desired (e.g. Engineering)
