Code Fitter Welder
Pay: $30 $33 per hour BOE
Schedule: Monday Thursday 6:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (some OT on Fridays)

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Code Fitter Welder to join a manufacturing company in Sand Springs. The ideal candidate must be able to pass an ASME Code Section 8 Welding Test (2 schedule 160 carbon 6G pipe test GTAW TIG all the way out FCAW Fluxcore). This opportunity as a Code Fitter Welder involves precision work on ASME code 100% x-ray coils in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Clamp hold tack-weld grind and bolt components into position for welding.
- Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance.
- Develop templates and models for welding projects using mathematical calculations based on blueprint information.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout assembly and welding operations.
- Maintain and complete all required records and production documentation.
- Layout and fit nozzles supports and couplings per blueprint into coil.
- Remove rough spots from workpieces using portable grinders hand files or scrapers.
- Maintain a safe work environment and report defective tools and equipment.
