Department Overview

Comprehensive interdisciplinary initial evaluation follow-up and management of congenital and acquired endocrine disorders including: diabetes growth problems thyroid disorders etc. This department also provide an education program for children and their families that includes diabetes management and nutrition counseling as well as resources support groups for children and their families.


Position Summary

The associate medical director is responsible for the organization direction implementation and evaluation of programs within their collaboration with the Medical Director the associate medical director will promote and be jointly accountable for all domains of quality - safety effectiveness efficiency operational and financial timeliness patient-centeredness and equity - in their program clinic and units where they practice.

Current Minnesota RN license
* Current Minnesota Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license

Required Experience:
* Minimum of 500 hours of clinical experience in last 36 months (may be filled through graduate clinical hours)

Clinical expertise in a specialty including advanced expertise in evidence-based assessments risk behaviors and treatments of illnesses comprehensive assessment differential diagnosis and interventions to treat or prevent illness or disease within last 5 years

Preferred Experience:
* Experience in basic clinical specialization preferred
* Experience in research and leadership roles preferred

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Leadership skills
* Demonstrated ability in medical administration
* Demonstrated excellence pediatric care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Good organizational and management skills
* Good problem-solving skills

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role the skills education training credentials and experience of the candidate internal equity and organizational needs.

In addition to your salary this position may be eligible for medical dental vision retirement and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
