What youll be doing

As the Senior Business Consultant you are a seasoned business analyst for documenting business requirements related to personal investing products asset management and advice for large scale transformation projects. The role uses deep knowledge in their field of expertise to lead and manage projects of a moderate or high level of complexity to enhance and upgrade new or existing processes products or services. The Senior Business Consultant exercises considerable judgement for decision making on complex issues uses business analysis and develops recommendations to senior leadership. The role analyzes situations and data using in-depth evaluation of intangibles with minimal precedent preparing and presenting roadmap progress issues and recommendations for resolution to internal business partners and executives. The role provides innovative original ideas accountable to broadly defined policy objectives championing CIBC values and providing support in a manner consistent with the highest quality standards and objectives.

How youll succeed

  • Analysis and Documentation Work with Business Partners Business Sponsor/Lead(s)Vendors Technology partners Stakeholder groups and project team members to assess and document the current state and to formulate a target state and roadmap. Present detailed business requirements and process flows aligned with CIBCs strategy and ensure all required artifacts are socialized and approved within required timelines. As assigned participate in User acceptance and business implementation activities.

  • Collaboration and Decision Support Lead activities to help internal partners make informed and timely decisions related to scope requirements technology organization cost schedule etc. Motivate and inspire your project teams as you work toward a common goal and successful outcomes. Build ongoing partnerships with key clients and business partners.

  • Communication Develop compelling presentation materials to support working team and executive discussions and to articulate Workstream status. Maintain detailed risks actions issues and decision logs track progress and schedule regular reviews and updates. Raise awareness and status of items through clear and timely communication.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience. In a Business Analyst or Business Consultant role on complex programs and projects. Knowledge and exposure of Banking processes investment products such as Mutual Funds Personal Portfolio Services GICs etc. Knowledge of Financial systems front-office and back-office operations and of Registered Plans and processes and platforms are an asset.
