Position Overview:

Were looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead infrastructure design projects across the Wellington region. Youll manage a diverse portfolio in the electricity sector including hydro solar wind transmission distribution EV charger rollouts and more. Youll also support projects in communications instrumentation BIM software modelling and safety studies.

This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. Youll work with internal teams and external clients helping shape outcomes that benefit communities across Aotearoa.

What will you be responsible for

  • Lead large-scale infrastructure design projects from planning to delivery
  • Manage scopes budgets timelines and risks
  • Support the Delivery Manager with mentoring and business development
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Improve project management tools and processes
  • Provide project services to external clients when needed

What youll bring

  • 10 years of engineering PM experience
  • PMP or Prince2 certification (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
  • Experience managing complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong contract negotiation and public sector experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams
  • A proactive professional and collaborative approach
