Job Description

Responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver mechanical equipment designs and layouts using AutoCAD 2023 and Inventor 2023 ensuring compliance with Company drafting standards.
* Produce and maintain detailed drawing packages build packages machine part lists illustrations and equipment specifications for production systems.
* Assemble comprehensive machine design packages by reviewing and updating existing packages ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
* Redesign mechanical components to reduce installation costs resolve equipment interferences and correct design deficiencies.
* Review redline and oversee updates to installation documentation and drawings collaborating with drafting teams to resolve design issues efficiently.
* Execute design changes to address equipment or process challenges ensuring all designs meet functional and performance requirements.
* Perform elementary design calculations (e.g. statics hydraulics power transmission) to support both new designs and modifications of existing systems.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and project managers to ensure designs meet project goals and customer expectations.
* Provide detailed sketches and marked-up drawings to address evolving project needs.


Required Skills:
* Proficiency with AutoCAD 2023 Inventor 2023 and related CAD software tools.
* In-depth understanding of mechanical drive trains electrical and pneumatic actuators and system integration.
* Expertise in preparing complete drawing packages from assembly to detailed drawings for industrial equipment.
* Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience interpreting pneumatic and electrical schematics.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes including machining and fabrication to ensure efficient and practical designs.

Education:
* Associates degree (AAS) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a Bachelors degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
