To maintain a high standard of health records and provide an efficient service to internal departments and external organisations.
Join our team as a Health Information Clerk!
We currently have two exciting opportunities available:
Permanent Part-time 30 hours per fortnight
Fixed-term Part-time (12 months) 56 hours per fortnight
The Position
Accurate and timely scanning of health record documents to Scanned Health Record System (SHRS).
Prepare and verify documents for scanning to SHRS.
Perform quality activities on scanned documents.
Correct identified anomalies in SHRS.
Respond to telephone email and fax enquiries from other departments and external organisations for requests for patient information.
Update and maintain doctor and practice database.
Filing and culling of health records.
Maintain health record tracking system for all record movements.
Collect and sort mail.
Liaise with secondary storage contractor for the retrieval and return of health records
You will have excellent communication and customer service skills along with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
To succeed you will be proficient in using email web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Experience using Web Patient Administration System (webPAS) and/or a Scanned Medical Record is desriable.

We can offer you
Salary: $60173 to $61903 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation
Permanent Part time role working 30hours a fornight & Fixed-term Part-time (12 months) 56 hours per fortnight.
