The Assistant House Supervisor position is a great next step for someone looking to progress their career in residential care. The Assistant House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily care of young people provided by residential care workers within their allocated residential care home during times when the House Supervisor is not rostered to work or is not present in the home. The Assistant House Supervisor is a part of the Out of Home Care Program and reports to the House Supervisor or Residential Care Coordinator in the absence of the House Supervisor.
As an Assistant House Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily care of young people ensuring their safety well-being and development. You will step in to lead during times when the House Supervisor is not present and maintain a safe healthy and harmonious home environment.
Your key responsibilities will include guiding residential care workers promote therapeutic care practices and ensure the home runs smoothly. Strong leadership and the application of learned therapeutic techniques will be essential in delivering high-quality care and ensuring a positive supportive atmosphere for young people.
The Assistant House Supervisor must have demonstrated experience within the residential care field particularly in a therapeutic environment. With Leadership Experience preferred but not required
This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Footscray VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the House Supervisor/Residential Care Coordinator.
