SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the Companys day-to-day accounting and reporting functions including the monthly quarterly and annual accounting close process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the monthly quarterly and annual accounting close process to support the preparation of monthly management reports and the Companys required 10-Q and 10-K SEC filings.
Prepare and/or review monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
Prepare record analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
Coordinate and collaborate with peers within the Company as well as Accounting to ensure processes are created and performed efficiently and accurately.
Interface with external auditors with respect to the Companys financial statements.
Assist with certain accounting and internal control functions as needed.
Other accounting and special projects as requested.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

3 years in public accounting (Big 4 or equivalent)or5 years of progressive accounting experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
Strong US GAAP knowledge
Strong critical thinking interpersonal communication and customer service skills
Ability to effectively interact with senior management

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

CPA in good standing preferred.
Experience in the energy infrastructure or related industry.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers/fax filing cabinets etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files boxes and office equipment as necessary.

The incumbent is required to stand walk use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
