Overview

The primary responsibility of the School Based Social Worker is to mobilize family school and community resources to enable students to learn as effectively as possible through prevention education outreach clinical activities and related services to eligible students.As a key member of the mental health team the social worker will partner with school administrators teachers counselors families and community partners to develop and implement plans that provide specialized support for selected students throughout the course of the school year.

New employees must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles mumps rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella) and/or without evidence of tetanus diphtheria acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005. If you are selected for this position you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree Social Work and 1-2 years experience
  • One of the following: Licensed Masters Social Worker KS Licensed Clinical Social Worker Specialist KS required upon hire
  • If incumbent is clinically licensed no Masters level license is required

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $28.25/hr but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
