Our Rapid Transit Office is seeking a Manager Transit Operations and Maintenance to play an important part in the delivery of safe effective and efficient Rapid Transit service to the community. This role will provide oversight in the implementation of the Operator Services Agreement with the operator and project agreements with other Project Operating Companies across the Rapid Transit programs. The Manager will bring a level of technical and functional oversight to the operation and of Rapid Transit Systems.
What will I be doing
- Lead and manage a team of Operations & Maintenance(O&M)Specialists supporting the RT Operations.
- Provide support and strategic input to theseniormanagement on matters related to operations readiness transition and steady-state service delivery.
- Lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in coordination with the OperatorMaintainer and internal stakeholders.
- Review Operator and Project submittals to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure O&M requirements are integrated into infrastructure design and throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement aComplianceCheckProgram and Key Performance Measure (KPM) Audit Program to monitor Operator & Maintainer performance.
- Identify and manage non-compliance issues in collaboration with RT Quality team.
- Participate inO&M performance and coordination meetings withall relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and operational matters.
- Liaise with external stakeholderson emergency protocols service planning and transit infrastructure interfaces.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree in Engineering Transportation Operations Management or a related discipline; . or PMP is an asset.
- Demonstrated progressive responsible experience in transit operations and maintenance preferably in LRT or Rapid Transit environments.
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of transit system lifecycle operations planning maintenance strategies and contract/compliance oversight.
- Proven ability to interpret and enforce technical requirements in Project Agreements or similar contractual frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable leading meetings and discussions with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- This individual in this position will assume On-Call responsibilities to support operational requirements including various shifts and weekends.
