Your opportunity:
As a 2nd Shift Materials Specialist I for Greenheck Group you will support sales objectives by ensuring on-time shipping and timely distribution of materials/parts to manufacturing areas across the organization coordinating with manufacturing personnel to identify and resolve material issues and executing the receipt of purchased and manufactured parts and materials.
What youll be doing:
Coordinate with plant scheduling purchasing and production supervision to identify and resolve key material issues preventing customer on time delivery and schedule attainment.
Ensure the availability to manufacturing areas of parts and raw materials to ensure production delays do not occur through organized stocking labeling and proper inventory relief of purchased and manufactured parts. Research and proactively resolve differences.
Coordinate and execute cycle counting activities. Identify document and implement changes that need to be made to existing processes and procedures.
Coordinate engineering change notices & item activity notices between all constituents (planners product engineers bill of materials buyers and business units) to ensure smooth efficient and timely model and component changeovers in support of business unit objectives while minimizing scrap and obsolete inventory.
Determine optimum locations for inventory and oversee the physical storage activities while maintaining company safety and housekeeping standards.
Coordinate stocking requirements with material specialists at other campus facilities as well as purchasing team.
Monitor and ensure accuracy and timely receipts of inventory manufactured and purchased parts executed by hourly inventory control team members.
Resolve quality issues involving materials.
Identify and work with other departments to set up inventory related master data of new parts.
Prepare and deliver shop floor paperwork related to the warehouse management and inventory management function. Determine what paperwork should be produced and when.
Lead and implement inventory reduction projects.
May develop maintain and distribute various inventory level reports.
Review and adjust safety stocks accordingly.
Assist in new and existing product development to the shop floor. This includes defining process flow and creating or updating routings replenishment policies capacity planning and standard operating procedures.
Monitor excess project/sales order stock and excess/obsolete inventory.
Work with material handlers to assist in resolving questions to allow for the timely entry of purchased and manufactured receipts.
What you should have:
2-4 years of relevant work experiencein materials/inventory management required.
2 Year / associate degree in supply chain Operations Management Business Administration or related field of study or equivalent years of job experience required.
ASCM/APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
A few things you should know:
You will work 2nd shift hours.
This is an on-site role for our Tulsa OK location.
Minimum travel is required.
