Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Maximize revenue collections by arranging for the efficient and orderly resolution of all patient self-pay accounts. Confirms accurate and complete payments offering financial counseling to all applicable patients. Works with uninsured and/or underinsured patients on a range of issues related to payment for their medical care answering questions and arranging payment plans. May assist with applications for insurance financial assistance and other financial and social assistance programs. Prepares accurate account adjustments on patient accounts when indicated. Requires exceptional communication skills along with accurate and timely documentation on patient accounts. Completes reports for contracted vendors and assists in the collection process. Confidentiality with patient finances is of utmost importance and an expectation.

SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:
7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday; Hours are subject to change based on business necessity.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience. Hospital collection experience preferred previous collection experience desired.
- Assisting patients with financial applications and arrangements.
- Establishing health insurance benefits conditions and requirements by making phone inquiries and using eligibility systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of revenue cycle billing process.
- Must obtain the ability to concentrate on detail.
