Total Hours of Work per Term:Number of hours vary by position: Estimated 50 hours in the semester divided between the 3 courses
Position Summary
Must assist the course lecture with all aspects of the course which could include but is not limited to:
Consult and communicate with course lecturer;
Read required material and any secondary material necessary for performing tasks;
Assist with creating weekly active learning exercises to be conducted in class;
Assist with creating formative and summative assessment questions to be used in quizzes;
Conduct virtual (online) tutorials if needed;
Assist with student learning;
Effectively communicate with students;
Ensure confidentiality regarding course-related matters;
Respect and treat all students equally.
Qualifications:
Must be a current Masters PhD student or or have completed the diploma in HRM or the graduate certificate in HRM at SCS
Prior demonstrable study in the subject matter of the course
Demonstrable knowledge in Organizational Behaviour Strategic HRM and Staffing
Experience using myCourses/Brightspaceis preferred
Excellent overall academic performance
Must have good command of the English language and good communication skills. McGill University is an English-language university where most teaching and research activities are conducted in the English language thereby requiring English communication both verbally and in writing.
