About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior/Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Fort Lauderdale. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for accuracy compliance and process improvement.
What Youll Do
- Prepare and review financial statements reports and reconciliations in compliance with GAAP.
- Handle month-end and year-end closings ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Assist with budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Maintain and track fixed asset schedules.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations.
- Partner with auditors during annual audits and provide required documentation.
- Support special projects and process improvements within the accounting team.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- 35 years of hands-on accounting experience (public or corporate).
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks SAP Oracle or similar).
- Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- CPA preferred but not required.
