Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Program Evaluation Intern to join the EnglishConnect team in Fall 2025 for a 3-month full-time internship. This individual will lead efforts to assess program effectiveness using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Their insights will drive meaningful improvements in the EnglishConnect learner experience.
The internship provides hands-on experience in program evaluation data analysis
project management program operations and AI-enhanced toolsall within a global faith-based educational initiative.

This full-time position typically works (Monday Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position is a hybrid position.

Conduct Program Evaluations: Collect and analyze learner feedback survey data
and outcome metrics to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for
improvement.
Apply Mixed Methods: Use both quantitative (e.g. descriptive and inferential
statistics) and qualitative (e.g. interviews focus groups etc.) approaches to
evaluate learner experiences and behaviors.
Research External Sources: Continually analyze other fields and academic
research to identify ways to improve learning and the learner experience.
Brainstorm Solutions: Collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions to
enhance learning and the overall learner experience.
Test and Pilot Initiatives: Participate in the testing and piloting of new initiatives
providing valuable insights and feedback.
Manage Projects: Take ownership of assigned projects ensuring they are
completed on time and meet the desired objectives.
Support the Portfolio Manager: Assist in various tasks to enhance the overall
learner experience including administrative and operational support.
Eligibility Requirements
Must reside in Utah or Idaho and be able to attend monthly in-person meetings in
Salt Lake City.
Legally authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
Currently enrolled in a degree program or graduated within the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate student or recent graduate (within 12 months) in a relevant field (e.g.
Learning Sciences Instructional Design Statistics Data Science etc.).
Knowledge of research and evaluation methods both quantitative and qualitative.
Experience with data collection tools (e.g. surveys focus groups interviews) and
analysis techniques (e.g. statistical software coding qualitative data).
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate findings into
actionable recommendations.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail and
deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Interest in education language learning and improving the learner experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn and experiment with new
tools including AI-enhanced technologies.
