Join Amazon Pharmacys ambitious mission to build a next-generation Pharmacy fulfillment technology that is reshaping healthcare delivery. As a founding member of our new Bangalore team youll architect and develop mission-critical fulfillment technology that ensures medication safety for millions while enabling rapid delivery capabilities to scale the business. Youll work on complex distributed systems handling inventory management order orchestration and compliance-critical workflows building from the ground up using Amazons latest cloud-native technologies and AI/ML capabilities.
The ideal candidate brings strong systems design experience expertise in building highly available services and passion for solving challenging technical problems where quality and compliance are paramount. Youll have the opportunity to integrate with cutting-edge robotics and automation systems while leveraging AI to optimize delivery speeds enhance accuracy and improve operational efficiency.
Amazon Pharmacy is transforming how customers access healthcare by combining Amazons customer obsession and operational excellence with pharmacy services - making it easier for customers to find purchase and receive their medications. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the technical foundation of this rapidly growing business while directly impacting customer healthcare experiences. Amazons mission is to make it dramatically easier for customers to access the healthcare products and services they need to get and stay healthy.. Towards this mission Amazon Pharmacy Fulfillment Tech strives to build technology to fulfill the worlds healthcare needs as fast as possible at the highest quality lowest cost and greatest convenience. While our near-term focus is building fulfillment technology to support Amazon Pharmacy our North Star Vision is to support the fulfillment of any type of healthcare experience at Amazon. To that end our systems are flexible enough to integrate with other in-house and third-party systems and extensible to accommodate the ever-growing and changing healthcare needs of our customers. Whether it is building our own software or integrating with other in-house and/or third-party services we strive to leverage the best-in-class technology available to deliver delightful healthcare experiences to Amazon customers starting with Pharmacy.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
