Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Base Location:Based location of Havant Southampton or Slough to cover the Wessex Region
Salary: From 44833 to 69348 depending on skills and experience.
Working Pattern:Full Time 37 Hours

What will I be doing in this role
Were looking for an experiencedQuantity Surveyor to join the team working on a long term framework upgrading the electrical network across the Wessex region.
In this role you will provide end-to-end commercial support for the project team as well as the Commercial team across your regions on a wide range of M&E works.
Some of your role will involve:
- Working closely with the project team to provide commercial support including preparation of new projects from a schedule of rates submission of Early Warning Notices and associated Compensation Events submission and agreement of payment applications commercial management of subcontractors
- Maintaining dialogue with relevant operational management to have a continual understanding as to contract administration status of specified projects
- ensuring that the internal reports of the projects are accurate in respect of risk costs incurred projection of costs to spend contingency and liabilities variations claims Sub-Contract management sales declared and consequently profit declared.
- Pre-Contract support review and negotiate Terms & Conditions assisting with Tenders Bids and negotiations to manage and minimise risk in line with our Corporate Governance
- Work alongside regional operations team and provide end to end Commercial Management and Contract Administration on Contracts and Projects
What do I need to be successful in the role
We are looking for you to join us with experience of working as a QS overseeing packages of work ideally in a construction or engineering environment. We would love for you to bring to us;
- A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in managing contractual relationships between clients customers and contractors
- Understanding of COINS ERP and Joblogic Construction software
- Predominately working on site or in the office
- A comprehensive commercial understanding of contract price build ups
- The ability to understand and explain to non commercial teams complex contracts and clauses
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of NEC3/4 forms of contract
- Due to the locations we cover we do need you to hold a full UK driving licence
