Are you ready to make an impact during a pivotal moment of change We are seeking a talented and motivated Relocation Manufacturing Engineer to join our Melbourne team at Hallam as we embark on the strategic relocation and transition of our manufacturing operations as part of the ACM move. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in shaping our future success ensuring a seamless transition and supporting our ongoing commitment to operational excellence

About the Role

As the Relocation Manufacturing Engineer you will be playing a pivotal role in overseeing and executing the transfer of manufacturing operations equipment and processes as a part of our ACM transition plan.

You will be working closely with the Group Manufacturing Site Optimisation Manager and cross-functional teams to coordinate manage and execute the relocation of manufacturing assets and processes.

The role will provide you with an opportunity to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining product quality operational efficiency and full compliance with engineering and production standards in a dynamic collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the relocation of manufacturing equipment systems and processes in line with the ACM transition plan. Oversee disassembly transport reassembly and alignment of equipment at the destination site.
  • Specify required utilities review floor layout to ensure efficiency in the process safety systems are prepared for incoming machinery.
  • Oversee the calibration testing and validation of relocated equipment to meet production specs.
  • Develop and implement detailed project schedules ensuring on-time and efficient relocation activities. Maintain good logs commissioning reports and compliance checklists for scheduled Maintenance and safety records.
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineering quality and supply chain teams to ensure a smooth and safe transfer of resources.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline relocation processes and reduce downtime.
  • Transfer of products between locations ensure drawing integrity and readiness for manufacturing meet requirements and standards. Support validation commissioning and start-up of equipment at the new manufacturing site.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel ensuring they are adept with transferred processes and equipment as operations resume at the new location.

Qualification and experience

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering a related field or demonstrated relevant experience
  • 5 years experience in a manufacturing engineering or process engineering role with at least 2 years directly involved in relocation transfer or startup of manufacturing operations
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale projects involving equipment installation process transfer or facility setup.
  • Excellent communication time management and organizational skills.
