We are seeking a Benefits Analyst to join our team in Miami. This role is responsible for managing and administering the companys health welfare and retirement benefit programs as well as overseeing the benefits budget and related invoicing. The Benefits Analyst ensures compliance with federal and state regulations conducts plan audits collaborates with vendors and provides guidance to employees on available benefit options.
This position also serves as a liaison between benefits finance accounting payroll and HRIS functions and plays a key role in enhancing employee engagement and improving plan administration. The ideal candidate will use sound judgment creativity and strong analytical skills to accomplish both short- and long-term goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer health and welfare benefit programs including medical dental vision life insurance disability flexible spending accounts health savings accounts COBRA retirement and voluntary benefits.
- Process benefit transactions such as new hire enrollments terminations life event changes and payroll adjustments.
- Partner with vendors brokers payroll and HR teams to research and resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner.
- Oversee retirement plan administration including compliance testing audits employee education payroll deductions and system integrations.
- Review and code benefit invoices reconcile expenses and prepare monthly financial reporting; research and explain budget variances as needed.
- Support annual open enrollment benefit plan changes and new plan implementations; document and update benefit processes.
- Conduct benefits orientations for new employees and provide ongoing education and communication.
- Generate reports to support benefits initiatives compliance and planning.
- Review Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and compliance testing; implement corrective actions when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field (required)
- Masters degree in Human Resources Management (preferred)
- HR and/or Benefits certifications (preferred)
Experience
- 5 years of experience in benefits administration and/or total rewards
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations including ACA ERISA HIPAA and COBRA
- Experience with HRIS and benefits systems (Oracle Ceridian bswift or similar platforms preferred)
- Proven experience managing retirement plans and benefits compliance

- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams Outlook Word PowerPoint Forms)

- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external vendors
- Ability to work onsite in Miami
- Comfortable working in a temporary position
The pay for this position is $41 an hour.
