Position Summary: The Arizona Department of Veterans Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Homeless Project Coordinator to lead statewide efforts to end veteran homelessness. This role will coordinate strategic initiatives collaborate with key stakeholders and ensure alignment with federal state and local housing programs. The coordinator will serve as a central point of contact for agencies nonprofits housing providers and veteran service organizations.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to address veteran homelessness in Arizona.
- Serve as liaison between government entities community partners and service providers.
- Coordinate with HUD-VASH SSVF CoC and other federal housing programs.
- Lead strategic planning and project management efforts.
- Analyze data and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Represent AZDVS at community events and stakeholder meetings.
- Travel across Arizona to engage with regional partners.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Social Work Public Administration Public Health Urban Planning or related field (Masters preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in homelessness services veteran services or program coordination.
- Strong knowledge of veteran housing programs (HUD-VASH SSVF CoC).
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience with data analysis and program evaluation.
- Ability to travel within Arizona.
Preferred Qualifications: - Military service or experience working with veteran populations.
- Familiarity with Arizonas homeless service delivery system.
- Experience managing federal/state grants.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
