Job Summary (List Format):

- Organize and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for adult and pediatric patients.
- Evaluate new patients set measurable treatment goals and establish appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer diagnostic tests to assess muscle nerve joint and functional abilities.
- Implement appropriate treatment modalities and adjust plans based on patient progress.
- Provide thorough documentation of patient care education and communication with other healthcare providers.
- Communicate effectively with medical and allied health personnel regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
- Instruct patients and families in therapeutic procedures to be continued at home.
- Assist in training new personnel as requested by management.
- Provide guidance and supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants Aides and students.
- Maintain departmental policies quality standards and safety/environmental protocols.
- Attend required meetings and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain daily records of patient activity and billing charges.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Consistently deliver service excellence in alignment with Cape Cod Hospitals CARES values (compassion accountability respect excellence service).
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
- Current BLS certification.
- For Clinical Specialist: Specialist Certification and additional responsibilities in clinical area supervision and resource support.
