You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking an experienced IBM MQ Adminto lead the design implementation and optimization of enterprise messaging solutions using IBM MQ. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of IBM MQ strong scripting and automation capabilities and a proven ability to architect resilient scalable and secure messaging infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and architect IBM MQ infrastructure to support enterprise-wide messaging requirements.
Lead installation configuration and administration of IBM MQ on various platforms (Windows Linux UNIX).
Develop automation scripts using tools such as Bash Python PowerShell or Ansible to streamline deployment monitoring and maintenance.
Implement and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations for MQ environments.
Collaborate with application teams to define messaging requirements and ensure best practices for integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in MQ environments including message flow connectivity and security.
Monitor MQ systems for performance availability and capacity; implement proactive tuning and scaling.
Maintain and enforce MQ security policies including SSL/TLS authentication and authorization.
Document architectures configurations processes and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest IBM MQ versions features and industry trends.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ (including MQ v8 and above).
Strong background in MQ architecture administration clustering and tuning.
Proficiency in automation and scripting (Bash Python PowerShell Ansible etc.).
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and cloud-based MQ deployments (AWS MQ Azure IBM Cloud).
Solid understanding of messaging concepts (JMS topics/queues pub/sub etc.).
Strong troubleshooting skills with experience analyzing MQ logs and dumps.
Working knowledge of SSL certificates keystores and secure messaging protocols.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
IBM Certified MQ Administrator or MQ Developer certifications.
Experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) or App Connect.
Exposure to Kafka RabbitMQ or other messaging platforms.
ITIL Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies.
