About this Position:
Job Title: UI/UX Designer (Part-Time) - Some onsite visits required
Responsibilities:

- Design and develop the UI for the SharePoint site ensuring that it meets the needs of all stakeholders.
- Design user interfaces for SharePoint sites that are intuitive efficient and aligned with emergency management operations.
- Create wireframes prototypes and high-fidelity designs for SharePoint subsites ensuring responsive design.
- Implement user-centered design strategies by conducting research and usability testing.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure the design is feasible and optimally implemented.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and incorporate business needs into the design.
- Create and manage design systems for consistency across the platform.
- Conduct user experience reviews and suggest improvements based on testing results.
- Ensure that designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG) and are mobile-friendly.
- Integrate SharePoint features like document management team collaboration tools and task tracking within the UI/UX design.
- Design intuitive and responsive dashboards for emergency management operations ensuring real-time data access.
- Focus on designing user-friendly intuitive interfaces that provide seamless access to critical data and tools in an emergency management setting.
- Create wireframes high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes for SharePoint pages and components.
- Ensure that designs are responsive across devices (desktop tablet mobile) and meet WCAG accessibility standards.
- Create design systems and reusable components to ensure consistency across the platform.
- Conduct usability testing with real users collecting feedback and refining designs accordingly.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure design meets user requirements and expectations making iterative improvements based on feedback.
Technology Stack:
- Design Tools: Figma Adobe XD Sketch InVision SharePoint Designer.
- Languages: HTML CSS.
- Skills: Responsive design user-centered design wireframing prototyping usability testing.
Qualifications and Education:
- Degree: Bachelors degree in Graphic Design User Experience Design or related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience designing interfaces for SharePoint or similar platforms.
- Skills: UX/UI principles design system creation responsive web design prototyping.
