Job Title: Test Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Industry
Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)
Location: North Haven CT 06473
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Test Technician III to join the R&D engineering team supporting robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgical systems. This role focuses on assembling maintaining and troubleshooting test fixtures used in product verification supporting engineering teams through hands-on technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble wire and maintain test fixtures jigs and equipment.
- Update and maintain industrial wiring diagrams (AutoCAD).
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues determining root causes.
- Support internal engineering teams with fixture setup and maintenance.
- Utilize motion and control systems (Galil Delta Tau LabVIEW Allen Bradley).
- Ensure compliance with NFPA wiring guidelines and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) from diagrams.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or 5 years relevant experience (10 years without degree).
- Experience assembling/maintaining test fixtures.
- Proficient in reading industrial wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical/mechanical systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Soldering certification.
- Experience with Galil Delta Tau Allen Bradley systems.
- Strong teamwork adaptability and communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Location: Office/assembly shop setting in North Haven CT.
- Light lifting and use of hand tools required.
- Minimal travel anticipated.
