Job Description

Oracle Database Administrator Senior Remote

Location: Remote (Minnesota) with up to 10 days onsite per year in St. Paul MN (minimum two weeks notice provided)
Type: Full-Time Contract

Job Overview

Seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support three partner agencies: Human Services (DHS) Children Youth and Families (DCYF) and Direct Care and Treatment (DCT). The resource will manage competing priorities provide advanced database administration services and support critical system modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design establish and maintain Oracle database structures and views for data integrity and optimized performance

  • Support system modernization with new database environment implementations and migrations

  • Develop automation scripts for daily database administration tasks

  • Conduct database deployment and troubleshooting in new and existing environments

  • Collaborate with developers QA business analysts and project management on Oracle projects

  • Provide database support and triage break/fix help desk tickets

  • Implement and maintain technology solutions that meet dynamic business needs

  • Respond to and resolve Oracle security findings and audit issues

  • Participate in performance and load testing quality assurance and user training

  • Lead knowledge transfer and documentation related to database environments

  • Manage Oracle database administration for state and federally funded projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced/expert experience in Oracle Database Administration

  • Strong scripting skills for automation of DBA tasks

  • Experience with IBM Rational Change and Configuration Management (CCM)

  • Proven ability to resolve Oracle database security audit findings

  • Expertise in planning and implementing database technology solutions

  • Experience collaborating across QA business analysis and development teams

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex Oracle database environments
