I am recruiting for an Intermediate to Senior Python Developer with React experience.
Hybrid (3 days in office)
Location: Cape Town: City Bowl

You must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Degree in IT or a related field
- Reside in Cape Town
- 4 years professional experience building production back-end systems
- Strong Python experience (FastAPI or similar frameworks)
- Experience with relational databases (the client uses PostgreSQL) and ORMs like SQLAlchemy
- Comfortable with async programming API design and working with third-party APIs
Nice To Have:
- Payments or fintech experience (e.g. payouts reconciliation and card acquiring)
- PCI compliance understanding (or at least interest in secure systems)
- Experience working in startups or small teams
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools like Pulumi Docker AWS
