About the Role

As a Sandwich Hand at WHSmith youll take pride in preparing fresh high quality sandwiches and snacks while delivering friendly and efficient service. Youll work quickly and accurately to meet customer needs and ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are consistently upheld.

This is a fulltime position based at The Market Kitchen in The Alfred Hospital. This role will require availability between Monday - Friday from 6am to 2pm.

You will also be responsible for:

• Preparing sandwiches wraps and other items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensuring all food is prepared and handled in line with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintaining a clean organised and well-stocked food preparation area.
• Serving customers efficiently and courteously.
• Working as part of a team to meet daily service targets and standards.
• Following all WHSmith policies and procedures.

About You

• Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role .
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable punctual and well presented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
