You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe person in this position is responsible for the management of all aspects of conducting absentee by mail voting. During elections this employee will lead seasonal contractor(s) carrying out the administrative duties of absentee by mail voting. Work requires that all materials meet the guidelines of election law and department standards. This position also provides support to the Voter Registration Coordinator. This includes managing daily voter registration administrative tasks list maintenance mail pickup and processing.
Purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to plan coordinate and administer an assigned election program or service area in alignment with the departments strategic goal of ensuring equitable access to election services for all community members.
Minimum Education Training and/or Experience (required at time of hire): Associate degree from an accredited college with major course work in Political Science Business Administration Public Administration Law or related field and four (4) years of experience in preparation of reports bookkeeping detailed filing procedures responding to and composing correspondence and performing administrative tasks preferably in a Board of Elections office; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Training and Experience: Certified North Carolina Elections Administrator preferred.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: Coordinator in specific positions must obtain a North Carolina Notary Public commission within 12 months of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
