The opportunity:
In this role you will be a part of our Indian operation center(INOPC). The unit is a part of the global Business unit Grid Automation in Hitachi Energy which delivers to our Utility and Industrial customers a comprehensive range of automation products and solutions to improve grid reliability and efficiency and enable complete grid control of all power distribution networks from the most basic to advanced including renewable power integration and battery storage systems.
You will be involved with Business geographically spread across the globe. Our Operating units perform their businesses in various fields which means the Methodology also Master Data management is critical to the businesses.
How youll make an impact:
- Understand the various business models under the Grid automation (GA) business.
- Understand the various Material Category Classifications Commodities Products used in the Business.
- Process lead to define Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and enables best practice in end to end material master creation in GA as per business requirements.
- Business blueprint Preparation Use-Case Requirement gathering Solution designing Unit testing Bug Identification Roll out & Post Go-live support.
- Responsible for training and integration with Superusers Requestor Central team etc.
- Identify investigate and solve complex business tasks where analysis of different scenarios or data is required to provide a recommendation and run the implementation.
- Responsible for maintaining 100% KPI ratio by closely working with multiple stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge on End to End Material Master (MM) process and Material data maintenance & other modules.
- Actively engage and partner with internal and external teams to define and implement solutions to improve existing Global Material Master (GMM) processes.
- Ensure close working with the Super users Requestors and Management team to identify user issues and system updates.
- Provide technical & functional assistance to optimize value chain across supply chains functions Globally on master data.
- Understand the Global Material Master (GMM) ticketing tool and process flow.
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedure for Material Master Data Handling.
- Ensure to have End to End overview and control of the process specified.
- Reviewing and actioning on open pending tickets in the Tool.
- Ensure quick resolution to the challenges faced and support the Businesses accordingly.
- Track the ticketing data and report the KPIs defined on a monthly basis.
- You will work in close collaboration with all the Super Users to ensure completion of requests made.
- Following the processes and guidelines in reporting as per the Hitachi Energy Regulations and procedures.
- Setup periodic meetings with the Team lead to identify deviations and confirm correctness.
- Provide trainings on the tool to Super user and Requestor as and when needed for smooth daily operation.
- Need to Monitor and follow up with the concerned requester/ Super User whose material is created completes the product documentation and stores in global data base system.
- Perform data cleansing. Analyze data usage propose recommendation for continuous improvement on SAP Material Master Data Quality & Accuracy.
- Material Master Data quality Turn Around Time (TAT) for ticket closure will be the sole KPI along with preparation and sending timely reports to the Management.
- You will ensure aligning all the activities towards Operating units with the timeline of Process roll out on Operating Units gets on board to S4HANA.

Your Background:
- Should have bachelors degree in Diploma / bachelors degree in electrical Mechanical.
- Should have minimum 5 years of experience.
- Sound knowledge of Supply chain is an advantage.
- Should have good knowledge in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Outlook IT savvy.
- Should have analytical metrics-oriented high motivation. Must be a collaborative team player willing to take ownership of decisions.
- Should have ability to communicate well professionally with all internal stake holders.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
