This co-op position is an opportunity to work in the research and development team of a photonics & fiber optics company that is passionate about meeting the needs of our customers.
What Youll Be Doing
- Contributing to the ongoing development of automated solutions for our next generation optical transport products;
- Solving complex technical problems;
- Working in close collaboration with the Firmware R&D teams; and
- Improving the quality and robustness of firmware and hardware tests.
What Were Looking For
Recommended Education:
- 2nd 3rd or 4th year student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering Computer Science or equivalent.
Skills:
- Desire to succeed and to do things right the first time;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong object-oriented software design and implementation (any language);
- Experience with any or all of the following: Git GitHub Bash PowerShell ChatGPT Copilot C# Python Javascript XML gRPC Jira;
- Experience in instrumentation and automation;
- Understanding of optical systems;
- Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
