POSITION: Learner Support & Primary Classroom Teacher
APPOINTMENT: 0.7 FTE Temporary
DURATION: June 30 2026 or earlier return of incumbent
Qualifications Required:
- education degree plus an inclusiveeducation certificate or5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);
- recent successful classroom teaching experience in primary curriculum;
- ability to lead in the development implementation and evaluation of Individual Education Plans in consultation with team members;
- ability to carry out nor-referenced assessments Level B;
- ability to model teach and foster social emotional and cultural awareness;
- knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
- demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
- effective communication interpersonal organizational and classroom management skills;
- ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
- BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
