Job Description

POSTING DATE: August 28 2025

SCHOOL: Oliver Elementary School
POSTING: #22 - 2025/26
POSITION: Learner Support & Primary Classroom Teacher
APPOINTMENT: 0.7 FTE Temporary
DURATION: June 30 2026 or earlier return of incumbent
Qualifications Required:
  1. education degree plus an inclusiveeducation certificate or5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);
  2. recent successful classroom teaching experience in primary curriculum;
  3. ability to lead in the development implementation and evaluation of Individual Education Plans in consultation with team members;
  4. ability to carry out nor-referenced assessments Level B;
  5. ability to model teach and foster social emotional and cultural awareness;
  6. knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
  7. demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
  8. effective communication interpersonal organizational and classroom management skills;
  9. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
  10. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
