Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
What Youll Do
- Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency functionality and safety standards.
- Conduct rounds surveying plant operations grounds and equipment. Take readings on critical systems observe functionality and document any abnormalities for corrective action.
- Use calibration standards including inspection testing and measurement equipment as well as calibration gas cylinders. Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
- Read and interpret technical drawings PIDs manuals and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance.
- Safely execute planned maintenance tasks ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely.
- Ensure adherence to FDA/QMS(Quality Management System) compliance programs following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) applicable procedures and UIGs internal quality systems.
What Youll Need
- High School Diploma or GED. Associates degree or technical school certification is preferred.
- Relevant military industrial gas/cryogenics or continuous process facilities experience.
- General knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment in process plant environments.
