Job Description

Primary Purpose: The HousekeepingDirector is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness sanitation and overallappearance of all residential and common areas in the independent livingcommunities and non-healthcare buildings. This leadership role ensures that thehousekeeping team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and safetyproviding residents with a comfortable dignified and well-maintained livingenvironment.

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.
  • Minimum of 3 years ofhousekeeping management experience preferably in senior living hospitalityhealthcare or property management.
  • Strong leadership team building and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail andorganization skills.
  • Proficient inhousekeeping and safety protocols chemical use and utilization of variouspieces of cleaning equipment.
  • Abilityto interact professionally with staff residents and families.
  • Basic computer literacy.

Primary Duties (Essential Functions) include butare not limited to:

Leadership & Team Management

Train supervise and evaluatehousekeeping staff.

Develop staff schedules toensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow.

Provide ongoing coaching andsupport ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.

Apply critical evaluation whenaddressing needs and issues across all IL communities.

Operations Oversight

Develop and implement dailyweekly and monthly cleaning schedules for residential units and communitycommon areas.

Monitor cleanliness and performroutine inspections to ensure compliance with community policies and regulatorystandards.

Coordinate deep cleaningmove-in/move-out cleaning guest suites and special projects as needed.

Implement and oversee plannedmaintenance schedules for common spaces specific to housekeeping purview.

Resident Services

Respond promptly andprofessionally to resident housekeeping requests and concerns.

Ensure cleaning proceduresrespect residents privacy and preferences.

Foster positive relationshipswith residents through courteous and respectful service.

Budgeting & Inventory

Manage the housekeepingdepartments budget including labor supplies and equipment.

Order maintain and trackinventory of cleaning supplies linens and equipment.

Ensure proper use and storageof chemicals in compliance with safety regulations.

Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure all cleaning proceduresmeet sanitation and infection control standards.

Maintain compliance with OSHAfire safety and facility policies.

Conduct regular safety trainingfor housekeeping staff.
