Description of Work




Casework Associate I position is located in the Charlotte Unit in Mecklenburg County and provides support and service coordination under the supervision of the Unit Manager or designee working primarily with persons receiving services on the Deaf and Hard of Hearing caseload.


Job responsibilities include but are limited to:

  • Evaluating professional diagnosticmedical psychological or vocational datato determine eligibility and required servicesfor service delivery.
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans of rehabilitation services for eligible consumers.
  • Arranging for appropriate evaluations and other services as indicated on the Individualized Plan for Employment the provision of planned services.
  • Engaging in various administrative duties including case service documentation caseload management staff and other administrative meetings.
  • Participating in training and professional development activities.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in a discipline relative to the program served from an appropriately accredited institution;
OR
Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in an area related to program that provides experience in techniques of casework or counseling;
OR
equivalent combination of education and experience.
