Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Tank & Hold Cleaning Specialist
The Tank & Hold Cleaning Specialist will provide excellent customer service and handle the requests for Cargo Hold / Tank Cleaning professionally to ensure our products are delivered on time. You will play a vital role in driving the growth of sales and improving the profitability of our products. You shall contribute to the Technical Sales & Business Development Managers team by sharing technical knowledge and know how to better understand how the use of the product creates value for customers and key selling points.
You will ensure customers receive a fast response time global product availability technical support and a high level of customer service. A key aspect of this role will be to discover new customer opportunities and drive collaboration with the Cargo Solutions team to ensure customer success customer contracts and customer service effectively and in accordance with business needs. This role is expected to evolve and develop as the organization moves forward and the effect of the position is seen.
What you will work on:
Training and developing existing customers to optimize the quality of service business growth and customer satisfaction
Responsible for handling CHC/TC Request for Quotations within time allocation creating and distributing quotations to customer
Responsible for handling technical questions and advising customers on products and cleaning procedures within liability rights
Liaising with internal Cargo Solution Specialist team to ensure products are competitive and meet the quality required by customers
Sourcing and purchasing products internally and externally if required
Proactively following up quotes to determine any unsettled questions and converting into orders
Utilizing key performance indicators and measurements to evaluate performance whilst providing feedback direction and support to the Cargo Solution Specialist team
Ensuring the agreed infrastructure and systems to support the success of the Cargo Solution Specialists team function is put in place (system processes etc.).
Being a role model to the team by having a can do forward leaning approach to activities growth and collaboration
Ensuring a good understanding of port operations logistics and cleaning procedures
Acquiring a good understanding of bulk/tank market and seasonal trends
Aligning customer needs across the product sales and operations organizations and contributing to developing plans and tactics for our customer portfolio
Following up on global sales strategies policies campaigns and initiatives
What you need to succeed in the role:
Degree in engineering technical studies and/or business administration
Experience of tankers or bulkers is an advantage but not essential
3 years of experience from maritime industry preferably within dry bulk / tank segment
Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively within a multinational environment
Fluent English
