WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
The team is highly skilled and dedicated located in Oslo and Halden. Our team is responsible for the development and execution of subsea cable systems ensuring timely delivery of quality solutions. We handle activities related to design installation and project coordination adhering to Nexans procedures for quality safety and sustainability. The workplace is in Oslo or Halden and you will report to the Manager Engineering Management.
GETTING A FLYING START
To succeed in Engineering Management you have extensive experience from the engineering or energy industry. You have worked in project-driven companies handling activities related to design installation and project management. Ideally your experience is related to interconnectors wind farms or power from shore projects. You will be comfortable with ensuring quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle. You have substantial experience in engineering management and possess strong leadership and project management capabilities.
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
You will work in cross-functional teams as an Engineering Manager focusing on leading engineering activities in large-scale subsea cable projects. To do this you will:
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities ensuring timely and high-quality technical solutions within budget.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients managing all technical aspects of project delivery.
- Collaborate with project management to allocate resources effectively and ensure optimal project execution.
- Ensure all designs adhere to international regulations and best practices.
- Drive innovation and process improvement in subsea cable system design and project execution.
- Champion Nexans commitment to Quality and HSE throughout all project phases.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Promote knowledge sharing across teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
YOUR STARTING POINT
- Bachelors or Masters in electrical mechanical or relevant engineering disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years in high-voltage or subsea cable technology with proven experience in engineering team management or leading EPCI projects
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical design documentation and execution in high-voltage subsea projects.
- Risk management and stakeholder collaboration experience.
- Proactive solution-oriented and adaptable.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Committed to excellence and sustainability.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal; Norwegian is a plus.
