Job Description
At PSD Energy were delivering critical infrastructure projects across Australia from substations to solar and wind farms and cutting-edge battery storage solutions. Were seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team and play a key role in securing the next generation of energy projects.
About the Role
Youll be responsible for managing the full estimating lifecycle for major electrical infrastructure projects. Working closely with our engineering procurement and project delivery teams youll ensure the accuracy competitiveness and timeliness of all submissions while mentoring junior estimators and contributing to business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of electrical cost estimates for substations solar farms wind projects and BESS
Develop and review BOQs tender documentation and supplier/subcontractor pricing
Perform risk analysis and recommend cost-effective strategies
Interface with clients project managers and executive leadership during tender phases
Maintain and improve estimating systems and cost databases
Support ongoing improvement of bid process and team capability
About You
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical estimating within infrastructure or renewables
Strong understanding of HV systems and renewable project delivery
Commercial acumen and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
Advanced Excel skills and experience with estimating software
Proven leadership and mentoring capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
